A report by Move to Gothenburg and Teknikföretagen that highligts why attracting and retaining international talent is crucial for Sweden. The main body of the report is made of a benchmarking study conducted by Marcus Andersson at Future Place Leadership. It points out what other countries of relevance are doing within this field and concludes that Sweden is far behind. Move to Gothenburg and Teknikföretagen gives concrete recommendations of what the Swedish government should do.
Förstudie: Nationell samordningsmodell för attraktion och mottagande av internationell kompetens
Move to Gothenburg is a member of the Working Group “Attract, integrate and retain talent” within the Swedish Government’s collaboration program. In the working group, we discuss and work on solutions to meet the needs of international talent and the employers that need to recruit them. Representatives from various regions, companies, authorities and other organisations make up the members which ensures that the group has a breadth of knowledge and insights. Within the program we, together with Teknikföretagen, are leading the work with proposing a national coordination of talent attraction and retention, and highlighting the importance of a national strategy and investment in making Sweden a great career destination.
